Minimum Working Example. The idea is to post a self-contained code with real or fabricated data to serve as the basis for discussion of some point. In this case, it was to take a C program that you understand and show how to express it in Julia.
Learn by doing: instead of thinking about the big picture from the start, begin by picking one particular small problem and start writing code. Then post here any specific code when it trips you up. The people here are genius in helping others sort out their hang ups. (Personal experience
