# Starship prompt now can now show the julia version (and that of julia packages)

Following a recent series of pull requests ([#1030](https://github.com/starship/starship/pull/1030), [#1036](https://github.com/starship/starship/pull/1036), [#1055](https://github.com/starship/starship/pull/1055)), the popular [starship shell prompt](https://starship.rs) is now able to display the julia version and the version of julia packages (if within such a directory). This is already available in the latest release, [v0.39.0](https://github.com/starship/starship/releases/tag/v0.39.0).
