# SQUAREM fixed point acceleration

I don’t know offhand about the SQUAREM algorithm in Julia, but there are quite a few packages to accelerate fixed-point iteration. Several are summarized in the thread: [[ANN] FixedPoint.jl - Solver of equations using Fixed Point Method [with a few bonuses]](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/ann-fixedpoint-jl-solver-of-equations-using-fixed-point-method-with-a-few-bonuses/78114)

[This review (2023)](https://doi.org/10.6339/22-JDS1051) seems to indicate that Anderson acceleration is quite competitive with SQUAREM.
