# Splitdrive under windows

Hi, i traced an issue i am having to splitdrive behaviour:

`splitdrive("\\\\servername\\hello.world\\filename.ext")`  
gives:  
`("\\\\servername\\hello",".world\\filename.ext")`

Which results in  
`normpath("\\\\servername\\hello.world\\filename.ext")`  
giving:  
`"\\\\servername\\hello\\.world\\filename.ext"`

This is causing problems reading files…
