Recently, I have been co-organizing a similarity search challenge involving LAION clip embeddings.
The challenge will be a particular track of the SISAP2023 conference, to be held in _La Coruña, España_. You can find more information about it.

I know there are several approximate nearest neighbor algorithms in Julia (in addition to mine), and it would be great to see different Julia packages in the challenge (I put the `SimilaritySearch.jl`) as an example if someone wants to use it or use it as a template for participation.

The call is not only for approximate nearest neighbor algorithms but also accepts contributions on algorithms that impact the similarity search procedure (e.g., dimensional reduction algorithms)

If you need more info, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Hi everyone,

This year, we are excited to announce the SISAP 2024 Indexing Challenge, a significant opportunity for researchers and practitioners in metric spaces, dimensional reduction, and quantization techniques.

SISAP is a core-B conference, and this year, it will be located in Providence, RI, in the USA.

This year, we have three tasks that involve indexing and searching in metric spaces and are significantly related to dimensional reduction and quantization techniques.

Note that our baseline is the Julia package [https://github.com/sadit/SimilaritySearch.jl](https://github.com/sadit/SimilaritySearch.jl) and some low memory representations found in [https://github.com/sadit/SurrogatedDistanceModels.jl](https://github.com/sadit/SurrogatedDistanceModels.jl).

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you are interested in our indexing challenge.
