segfault in Libdl.dlpath("libjulia")

So after many experiments, it seems the problem in my case is running julia

  • from /opt/julia - does not work,
  • from /home/julia - works
  • from /opt/julia on a clean virtual machine - works!
  • from /opt/julia on another physical linux machine - does not work!
