Hey all, the Julia Language will be applying for Google Summer of Code this year. With GSoC 2021, there are significant changes to the timeline and other attributes of the program. Please see here: [Defining a Project (Ideas List) | Google Summer of Code Guides](https://google.github.io/gsocguides/mentor/defining-a-project-ideas-list)

For previous mentors who would like to mentor again in 2021, we need to update each project on the website here: [https://github.com/JuliaLang/www.julialang.org/tree/main/jsoc/gsoc](https://github.com/JuliaLang/www.julialang.org/tree/main/jsoc/gsoc) Please open a PR with the updated specs of the project conforming to the new guidelines.

For new/prospective mentors, please see: [Defining a Project (Ideas List) | Google Summer of Code Guides](https://google.github.io/gsocguides/mentor/defining-a-project-ideas-list) to familiarize yourself with the mentor, student, and project expectations. Afterwards, please open a PR here: [https://github.com/JuliaLang/www.julialang.org/tree/main/jsoc/gsoc](https://github.com/JuliaLang/www.julialang.org/tree/main/jsoc/gsoc)
