# Removing axes in Plots.jl 3D plot

Based [on this other post](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/call-backend-functions-on-plots-jl-pyplot-backend/45789/2), the desired result can be achieved by using the matplotlib `axis()` function acting on Plots.jl pyplot() backend object:

```julia
p = scatter(x, y, z, dpi=100)
p[1].o.axis("off")

```

_ **NB:** _  
_need to click in the plot scene so that the box disappears._
