# Registrator.jl says looking up of tree hash failed?

i tried to register my package [https://github.com/floswald/MomentOpt.jl/releases/tag/v1.4.0](https://github.com/floswald/MomentOpt.jl/releases/tag/v1.4.0)

it says `ERROR: Looking up the tree hash failed`. what does that mean?

You are linking to a tag which as far as I can see has no relevance for the rest of the post. Where is the invocation to register the package? And where is the error message reported?

I followed instructions here [[GitHub - JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl: Julia package registration bot](https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl)] under _how to use_. I was here [GitHub - JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl: Julia package registration bot](https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl#via-the-web-interface) and it says to click on this:

[https://pkg.julialang.org/registrator/](https://pkg.julialang.org/registrator/)

and follow instructions. clicking further on _instructions_ brings me back here [https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl/blob/master/README.web.md#usage-for-package-maintainers](https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl/blob/master/README.web.md#usage-for-package-maintainers)

I think I followed all instructions. no invocations mentioned. the error message is displayed in the browser
