# Pre-built binaries via the registry

Conclusion: Pre-built binaries via the registry, in theory, could be possible, but implementing this proposal would require significant effort.  
For now, [[ANN] Jumbo - a scientific Julia distribution](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/ann-jumbo-a-scientific-julia-distribution/133856) is the way to go if you want to avoid long pre-compilation times using a pre-defined set of packages.
