# PkgTemplates without git

hello, I am trying to create a module using PkgTemplates.jl

```julia
tpl = Template(user="a", dir=".")
tpl("Package")

```

The issue is this command creates a .git file, and I don’t need it, since I already have a repository created, how to create a package without the git files?

As per [the documentation](https://invenia.github.io/PkgTemplates.jl/stable/user/#PkgTemplates.Template),

```
  tpl = Template(user="a", dir=".", plugins = [!Git])

```

should do it.

To disable a default plugin, pass in the negated type: `!PluginType`.
