# Pirates Baseball Game during JuliaCon Global 2025

Ahoy, there! Are you a Julia programmer or associated with one attending JuliaCon Global 2025? Do you some times commit type piracy? Are you interested in hanging out with Julia programmers during a baseball game?
If any of the applies, you may want to purchase a ticket for the Pirates game during JuliaCon Global 2025.

The game is on ~~July 23rd~~ Tuesday July 22nd and features the Detroit Tigers visiting the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. Each purchase ticket will include at least $5 for concessions and possibly more if enough people participate.
You do not need a JuliaCon Global 2025 ticket to attend the Pirates game. This is an excellent opportunity for your friends, family, and significant others to join a fun even with the Julia community.

For some context, PNC Park is consistently rated [the best ballpark in America](https://www.mlb.com/news/pnc-park-ranked-best-ballpark) – the location is spectacular with a view of the downtown skyline, there’s lots of great food, and the vibes are just generally a good time. And if you’re less familiar with America’s pastime in the first place, the ballgame happening down below is really only part of the motivation to go to the ballpark; it’s much more about experiencing the atmosphere and goofy gimmicks like [Pup Night](https://www.mlb.com/pirates/tickets/promotions/themes/pup-night), the [Pierogi Race](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Pierogy_Race), and the [seventh-inning stretch](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seventh-inning_stretch).
