Hello,

I wrote a module to perform Detrended Cross-Correlation Analysis, called DCCA.jl (quite straightforward) which I want to register but it gets refused on that account that the name has less that 5 letters. Yet packages like`MIDI.jl` or `MIRT.jl` are in the same case and still part of the registry, why is that so ?

It’s not a hard requirement and the check is just a heuristic. If you want to keep the name it’s OK, but it might be good to consider more descriptive names if possible. Indeed, searching for DCCA gives for example [DCCA - Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DCCA) so the acronym is not very well known. See also the [package naming guidelines](https://julialang.github.io/Pkg.jl/dev/creating-packages/#Package-naming-guidelines-1).
