# Override DocStringExtension @template

`DocStringExtensions` provides the [`@template`](https://docstringextensions.juliadocs.org/stable/#DocStringExtensions.@template) macro that allows one to automatically interpolate the function signatures into their docstring without having to write them out or add `$SIGNATURES` into the docstring.

Is there a way to override these templates for select docstring? While I am happy with the output of a template

```julia
@template DEFAULT =
    """
    $(SIGNATURES)
    $(DOCSTRING)
    """

```

most of the time, I sometimes want to customize the way function signatures are displayed.
