# "Orthogonal Library" meaning

Hello! I am working through the Julia Academy module and it says that “by using an orthogonal library, we also enable performance improvements.” I am familiar with the linear algebra term orthogonal (perpendicular), but how can a library be orthogonal? What does this mean? Thanks!
