Don’t know if you’re the same person, but I just answered here that coming from C++ does help a lot to understand the complications and problems of invalid access to memory.
That’s not possible (PSA: Julia is not at that stage of development anymore), or desirable, I think, for a lot of people.
It is a package, so it cannot be deprecated (unless you convince the package author to take it down, but even then it would remain available on the Registry).
I don’t think it is needed to discourage the use of it, as it is somewhat niche. But as I stated on the thread discussing the original blog, I need them for the work I do. I get paid to do it that way.
