# OAR stdout print progress

Dear All,

I am running a program on a cluster which uses OAR. My program prints some progress message with `println` which I changed to `write(STDOUT,"--> 10/100")`.

However, the output file (from OAR) which reflects stdout show no change during execution.

How is this possible?

Open a file and print to that instead?

That’s one possibility!

Another is to use `flush(STDOUT)`.
