# New ROOT.jl release, v0.4.0

Dear all,

Version 0.4.0 of [ROOT.jl](https://github.com/JuliaHEP/ROOT.jl), presented at the [ROOT users’ workshop](https://indico.cern.ch/event/1505384/timetable/?view=standard#88-rootjl-opening-root-to-the) was released Today in the General registry.

This version, originally planned for November and delayed due to an issue when using Julia 1.12 preventing its registration brings nice features you will find in the release note and the presentation quoted above.

Run `add ROOT` from the Julia package manager prompt to install it.
