# New Parallel/Distributed category?

Could we have a new parallel/distributed computing category? There are plenty of packages in this area, a JuliaParallel organization, a Base.Distributed module, and my topic [Serializing RemoteChannels](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/serializing-remotechannels/4249/1) felt like it would fit in such a category.
