# New package feeds on Zulip and Slack!

@dilumaluthge, @logankilpatrick, and I have put together a channel called `new-packages-feed` on the community [Slack](https://julialang.org/slack/) and [Zulip](https://julialang.zulipchat.com/register/) which automatically posts all new package registrations made to the [General registry](https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/General). Thanks to @jling who suggested the idea in the first place.

Follow along to check out what new packages are headed to the Julia ecosystem! And check out our new [Contribution guidelines](https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/General/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) for how to get involved in helping maintain the General registry.

For package authors: to add release notes to your registration, if you are using the comment bot, the syntax is here: [https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl#release-notes](https://github.com/JuliaRegistries/Registrator.jl#release-notes), and if you are using JuliaHub, there is a box to enter them: [https://juliahub.com/ui/Registrator](https://juliahub.com/ui/Registrator).
