# My Windows Julia terminal doesn't show the symbols properly

When I open the Julia terminal from the icon installed on the toolbar when, I see these ? question mark symbol. I think they should be up arrow symbols.

What do I do to get the terminal to display the right symbols?

- Use a better terminal — don’t use the Windows Console (which doesn’t support fallback fonts — [\mscr unicode character display in REPL with Windows - #13 by stevengj](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/mscr-unicode-character-display-in-repl-with-windows/10290/13)), use e.g. the Windows Terminal instead.
