# Mute solver output

Hi all,

some 3 years ago people seemed to thought that having a standard mute option in JuMP would be a soon to be feature (see e.g. [Redirecting to Google Groups](https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/julia-opt/5B0DHxTP2lE)). Has there been any progress on the subject ?

At the moment I encounter a problem with CPLEX error 3003 (akin to [https://github.com/JuliaOpt/CPLEX.jl/issues/18](https://github.com/JuliaOpt/CPLEX.jl/issues/18)) and do not know how to mute it.

With CPLEX 1271 I have to use `CPX_PARAM_SCRIND=0`

This is available at a low level with [MPB](http://mathprogbasejl.readthedocs.io/en/latest/solverinterface.html#setparameters!), but it’s not exposed through JuMP. I don’t expect to revisit this functionality until after JuMP 0.19.
