# MS Teams not supporting Julia syntax highlighting

In MS Teams you can insert code snippets, but you cannot select Julia as language.
Any idea where to complain about it?

I have no idea where you can complain.
As an alternative, you may want to use [https://carbon.now.sh/](https://carbon.now.sh/) where you paste your code snippet and get a beatiful image of the code to share as an image.

I believe to remember that there already was an open “issue” for adding Julia syntax highlighting where I just clicked on +1. Can’t find it though…

It doesn’t seem to know how to do Julia code particularly well though. It treats everything as a variable, even functions. At least that’s what happens on my end.

Upvoted there but whoever requests this feature starts with: _While the Julia language is generally not very popular…_
It seems that as of January 1, 2022, Julia has been downloaded 35 million times.

urgh… if someone sends me code as an image I shout at him/her for a week…
If MSTeams accepts HTML, you could use one of the many online syntax highlithers and copy/pasting the output…
