# MPI with srun, mpd error

With intelmpi, srun results in the following error. What is the fix (other than using sbatch & mpirun)?

srun -p slurm -n 3 -t 00:10:00 /julia-0.7.0/bin/julia ./mpitest.jl  
mpiexec\_backend-0-0.local: cannot connect to local mpd (/tmp/mpd2.console\_svcarpacomp); possible causes:

1. no mpd is running on this host
2. an mpd is running but was started without a “console” (-n option)

this works normally:  
srun -p slurm -n 3 -t 00:10:00 /julia-0.7.0/bin/julia -e “using MPI”
