I don’t think there is any interest on that in particular. I myself got accustomed to two possibilities: 1) if I want to see the data, it is a good thing that most of it is displayed. 2) If I don’t want to see it, add a ; in from of the expression and it will be suppressed.

It happens some time that I don’t want to see it and forget the ;, with which my screen gets flood with things that I don’t want to see, but that is a minor problem.

I think it’s totally possible. Display is tricky, but I think there’s space to improve the configurability of it. Just takes work, motivation, and drive. It’s not something I’ll be doing, but that doesn’t mean someone else won’t get excited about it.
