This Wed, Mar 13 at a [meetup in Palo Alto](https://www.meetup.com/Bay-Area-Julia-Users/events/258887602/) we’re happy to have Tim Wheeler talk on how Julia is used in his new book “[Algorithms for Optimization](https://mitpress.mit.edu/books/algorithms-optimization)”; Jane Herriman will also give a short overview of [NumFOCUS](https://numfocus.org/) and her role on the board there. This will be a great event; come one, come all!
