Everyone,
We are pleased to announce that Madeleine Udell, Cornell University Assistant Professor of Operations Research and Information Engineering, Richard and Sybil Smith Sesquicentennial Fellow, and long standing member of the Julia community, will deliver a keynote address at JuliaCon 2019. Dr Udell’s areas of research include optimization and machine learning. In her talk, “Big Data is Low Rank”, we’ll learn why low rank models are often suspiciously successful in treating high dimensional data sets.
