# Lost in transition: the current state of the Julia ecosystem?

Yes, that’s true - but it my case it was more straightforward.

`Pkg` was keeping some of the packages downgraded for months due to the fact that one package hasn’t been updated ever since.

Without any hint that new versions did actually exist, I was living in a world where v0.5 packages were getting more updates than v0.6!

Happy to have learned that it’s not the case.

Thanks. I did actually see the presentation live but I don’t remember the part about how multiple versions will work. I’ll check the video now that they’re up.
