I don’t mean to dissuade anyone from pursuing their interests, but this advice applies:

Idea: Mapping Dive Sites with Julia – A Chance to Show Off the Ecosystem

It sounds cool, but it’s highly unlikely to get done unless you start by doing a majority of the work yourself. People seldom jump head first into massive undertakings because someone online suggests doing it.
