# LaTeXStrings and Plots.jl Norm Symbol

If I try to use the norm symbol in a label on a figure (i.e., \| x\|), the double bars refuse to appear. This occurs with commands like:

```julia
xlabel!(L"\|x\|")

```

It shows up as |x|.
