# JuliaCon Global 2025 videos will start releasing today

JuliaCon Global 2025 videos will start releasing today (September 17) on a rolling basis. Videos will be uploaded in large batches as _ **unlisted** _ over the next ~week (due to API rate limits). At the time of upload the video URL will be added to PreTalx as a resource of the submission. This link will be on the public facing page _and should remain stable_ , so you may use that link to share the video etc.

Videos will be _ **released** _ or _ **made public** _ at a rate of ~3-4 videos per day. This allows The Algorithm to give everyone’s talk a fair shot, avoids spamming ~250 videos at everyone’s subscriber feed, and generates much more interest in each project than one massive premiere.

We do, however, have the videos set up for monetization which helps ameliorate a very small amount of the costs of the conference. If possible, Please release conference videos such that slides occupy maximum possible space on screen so that content is clearly visible. Sometimes i find difficult to read content on my 16-inch laptop.

This is more an issue for the presenters themselves than for the videos. Some presenters use text sizes and graphics that are readable on good quality displays and live projection but suffer under video compression and after downloading.

I was wondering the same thing. It looks like the last upload was 9 days ago, and only a small percentage of the JuliaCon 2025 talks have been uploaded so far.

All of them are there unlisted. It seems like someone was putting them out manually. Youtube has a scheduling feature so I can schedule say 4 to come out every day, can I just do that in 15 minutes and then this is all fixed? I’ll work something out with @rayegun and get this going.

The conference was already three months ago, there are 250 videos I think I read somewhere? So four a day is still two more months for some videos to appear given that only a handful is on the main channel (the others are hidden in some playlist). I get the idea that putting them out bit by bit should keeps interest higher for each video, on the other hand, doesn’t interest go down the more time goes by? I’d probably just release them all at this point

On the other hand, if you release everything at once your video probably gets lost in the noise. 250 videos is a lot

Well I put everything else in there to do ~5 a day which ends on November 6th. Let’s call that final, they now all have a schedule to automatically release unless anyone turns them off and I’m not planning to click a bunch of buttons to hyper optimize this.

@gdalle can then set JuliaCon Paris videos to shortly release after that (let me know if you need help with anything, or if you need the editor’s help with handling any difficult cases).

We actually decided with @avik that the videos from Paris could start releasing in parallel to the Pittsburgh ones, so I’ll set a similar release schedule.

I’d love to know if there is a way to upload videos with their metadata in bulk. Sofar it seems this option is only available [if we use Youtube Studio Content Manager](https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/3077589?hl=en), and it doesn’t look like we do?  
How does one avoid inputting every video description and title by hand?
