Julia version 1.5.2, the second patch release in the 1.5 series of releases, is now available. You can get binaries for glibc Linux (i686, x86-64, AArch64), musl Linux (x86-64), FreeBSD (x86-64), macOS, and Windows (32-, 64-bit) at [Download Julia](https://julialang.org/downloads).

As a patch release, 1.5.2 contains no new features or breaking changes, only bug fixes, documentation improvements, and performance improvements. You can see the list of commits included since 1.5.1 [here](https://github.com/JuliaLang/julia/compare/v1.5.1...v1.5.2). We recommend anyone currently using 1.5.0 or 1.5.1 upgrade to 1.5.2.

Note that 1.5 on Travis, [AppVeyor](https://github.com/JuliaCI/Appveyor.jl), [Cirrus](https://github.com/ararslan/CirrusCI.jl), and [GitHub Actions](https://github.com/julia-actions/setup-julia) now refers to 1.5.2.

Enjoy!

Running Macs with latest OS. Got the

```julia
"Julia 1.5" can't be opened because Apple cannot check ...
```

error. Had to force open to get things working (cntrl-click on the app).

Hey,

I am always interested about the new feature list, improvements and repairs.
What are the 1.5.2 corresponding details on the changes?

It would be really nice to keep track of it with an easy overview.

You can see the changes here: [https://github.com/JuliaLang/julia/pull/37210](https://github.com/JuliaLang/julia/pull/37210).

Unfortunately, we currently don’t really have anyone that writes nice detailed release notes.

It takes a while for it to be generated after the release is done.

Sorry about that, the macOS binaries had not been notarized prior to releasing. This has now been fixed, so if you re-download, everything should be good.

Somehow the checksum files lost their permission information. That too has been fixed, so you should be good there too.

It’s a known issue with signing the binaries, and it’s being worked on.

Tried v1.52 today, the package updating is much faster than before. Great work!
