A PPL is a _probabilistic programming language_, like

- [Turing](https://turing.ml/dev/)
- [Gen](https://github.com/probcomp/Gen.jl)
- [Jaynes](https://github.com/femtomc/Jaynes.jl)
- [Omega](https://github.com/zenna/Omega.jl)
- [Stheno](https://github.com/zenna/Omega.jl)
- [Poirot](https://github.com/MikeInnes/Poirot.jl)
- [Soss](https://github.com/cscherrer/Soss.jl)
- [ForneyLab](https://github.com/biaslab/ForneyLab.jl)

Julia is particularly well-suited to building these and cross-library interoperability, so we have a rich PPL ecosystem.
