# JULIA\_MAX\_NUM\_PRECOMPILE\_FILES and vscode

Hi,

I would like to increase `JULIA_MAX_NUM_PRECOMPILE_FILES` for my workflow. However it is inconvenient to use `export JULIA_MAX_NUM_PRECOMPILE_FILES = 10` when using vscode.

What is the preferred workflow in this case?

Put it in `.julia/config/startup.jl`?

You can set that in `terminal.integrated.env.linux` (or whichever one is appropriate for your OS). Otherwise just export it in .bashrc and it should be picked up too.
