Another quick update:
- The high speed 3D printers I ordered had a one month manufacturing delay in China. So their estimated delivery date is now in December. I am looking forward to 3D printing the ratchet mechanisms that will hold up the display pins as the scan line traverses the display.
- I have reduced the display pin diameter to 3 mm resulting in a tactile display resolution of about 4 dots per inch, which would be dreadful for a printer but perhaps is acceptable for a low cost tactile display.
