```julia-auto
Error: Error in the keymap
│ exception =
│ UndefVarError: `SearchState` not defined in `REPL.LineEdit`
```

I am aware that this has cropped up before [some key bindings in repl ..](https://discourse.julialang.org/t/overriding-some-key-bindings-in-repl-does-not-seem-to-work/86830)

It errors with or without `using TerminalPager`, here is the top part of my `startup.jl` :

```julia-auto
println("running ~./julia/config/startup.jl")
#using TerminalPager
using OhMyREPL
using Pkg
atreplinit() do repl
    try
        @eval using Revise
        @async Revise.wait_steal_repl_backend()
        println("Revise version = ", @eval pkgversion(Revise))#, " is loaded and running in the background.")
    catch
    end
end
```

Full exception message:

```julia-auto
Julia starts OK when when started without using `startup.jl`. I have a UK/GB/EN keymap if that’s any help. Earlier Julia versions have worked perfectly with my current `startup.jl`.
I only remember that from way back on a first nightly, but I think 1.13 makes OhMyRepl basically obsolete – you get even a bit nicer color markup on REPL directly.
_edit_ also the search of course.
@kellertuer Not using `OhMyREPL` fixed it (sort of obviously). Didn’t know it was retired.
Many thanks. Roger.
I checked, my startup already has
```julia-auto
using Revise, REPL, About
# Omit in 1.13?
if VERSION < v"1.13.0-rc1"
    using OhMyREPL
end

```
but for such a long time that I do not remember when exactly, and I just vaguely remember trying out the new search and/or highlight a long time back on nightly.
I do remember that the [the Readme of OhMyREPL](https://github.com/KristofferC/OhMyREPL.jl) states
```julia-auto
Note that this package overwrites some methods from Julia Base. If you get a weird error when using OhMyREPL you should reproduce it without having OhMyREPL loaded before reporting it as a Julia bug.

```
…and for now the highlight and search are directly a feature of Julia 1.13, see
Hm, I actually read through the blogpost today before seeing your post and they explicitly state that OhMyREPL is not needed anymore, but, unless I missed it, did not say that it should clash and julia would not run.
Well, OhMyREPL itself says they rely heavily on internals and might break due to that.
