# Is there way to run julia in jupyter notebook without leaving terminal?

Let’s say you were making a [binder](https://mybinder.org/) and wanted to build [WebIO](https://github.com/JuliaGizmos/WebIO.jl) prior to having the docker box sent to the user.

Is there a way to make a jupyter notebook with this tailored initialization routine:

```julia
cd(Pkg.dir("WebIO", "assets"))
;jupyter labextension install webio
;jupyter labextension enable webio/jupyterlab_entry

Pkg.build("WebIO")
using WebIO

```

And then run in in the [postBuild](https://github.com/djsegal/webio-binder/blob/master/postBuild) part of the binder?

It seems like this would need to get done because:

- The initialization creates javascript files
- and those are needed prior to the user rendering HTML with the package
