# Installed Julia from Microsoft Store - now I cannot install any packages?

I’ve tried other packages, still won’t work. Is this common on Windows install?

Maybe something is messed up with the depot? I would try renaming the .julia folder (or just deleting if you dont have anythinh important there) so it is forced to recreate itself, and the run this again.

I ended up giving up and learning to install it manually again instead. Was also a good experience 🙂
