# In case of multiple legends, how to only show one legend?

When I group for one variable and fill for another variable, legends for both are shown. It would be easiest if one could simply write `legend=:colname` to select the variable for which a legend should be shown. How can I do this in general? Many thanks in advance.

Which plotting package and what type of plot are you looking at? A MWE would be helpful.
