Yeah, this is just missing functionality right now. https://github.com/SciML/ModelingToolkit.jl/issues/38 is the issue for it (the oldest open issue! 
). You can use the tricks in Frequently Asked Questions · ModelingToolkit.jl to do it in the front end, but that’s nasty. We do need to support events in the front end.
