Improving error messages is a very long-tail sort of problem, but something we care enough about to have a dedicated label on the issue tracker: [GitHub · Where software is built](https://github.com/JuliaLang/julia/issues?q=state%3Aopen%20label%3A%22error%20messages%22)

Having concrete examples where things can be better is useful — and while improving them can sometimes be tricky, it’s a great way to get involved!
