# How to use AlgebraOfgraphics's sorter

It is not clear to me from the [sorter documentation](http://juliaplots.org/AlgebraOfGraphics.jl/stable/API/functions/#AlgebraOfGraphics.sorter) how to use the Algebra of Graphics’s sorter. My current attempt is:  
`plt *= mapping(marker=:l) |> sorter(Vector(1:13) .|> string)`

Anyone who knows how to use it?

Found it. My `:l` column consists of integers 1:13 converted to strings. The they become sorted when I do:  
`mapping(marker=:l=>sorter(Vector(1:13) .|> string))`
