# How to release memory with EzXML

Is there any way to release the memory after using `EzXML`’s `readxml(path)` function?  
I have tried

```julia
doc = readxml(path)
doc = nothing
GC.gc()

```

Assuming you are using [EzXML.jl](https://github.com/JuliaIO/EzXML.jl) maybe you should ask there?
