# GSoC projects 2024

Hi!

I’ve been looking to apply for GSoC 2024 and, wanted to know if there are any projects for julia. I’ve found this [list](https://julialang.org/jsoc/projects/) on [julialang.org](http://julialang.org) and, was wondering if there’s any mentors here who’d like to chat about their projects. However, I’ve mostly written code in Python, Fortran and C/C++ and have little experience in scientific computing. I’ve been trying to move to Julia for a while but, never got a chance to extensively use it for a project and hence, my motivation to apply for a GSoC project to overcome this barrier.

Have you found project yet? Are there specific domains that interest you? If yes I think we could point you to some relevant Julia orgs.

Also, there’s the `#jsoc` channel on Slack you might check out.
