Title: GSoC 2025 Interest - Turing Gibbs Sampler Project

Hi Julia community!

I’m Anurag, a CS undergrad interested in applying for
GSoC 2025 with Turing, specifically the
“AbstractMCMC-based Gibbs Sampler” project.

My existing contributions to the Julia ecosystem:

- StatsBase: [HSM mode PR (pending)](https://github.com/JuliaStats/StatsBase.jl/pull/984)
- TimeSeries: 2 merged documentation PRs ([PR1](https://github.com/JuliaStats/TimeSeries.jl/pull/547) and [PR2](https://github.com/JuliaStats/TimeSeries.jl/pull/549))
- DataFrames: [Bug fix for stack() error message (pending)](https://github.com/JuliaData/DataFrames.jl/pull/3526)

I’m currently studying AbstractMCMC and Gibbs
sampling to prepare. I’d love any guidance on:

1. Good first issues to tackle in Turing
2. Any resources to better understand the codebase

Thank you!
