# GSoC 2018 Is Julia not participating this year?

This Monday the organizations to participate in the Google Summer of Code were announced. I didn’t find Julia there: [Google Summer of Code](https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/organizations/?sp-page=5)  
Is Julia not participating this year? It seems like last year it was fruitful enough. Is there a reason not to take part this year?
