# GitError when using Pkg.status or Pkg.add

Hi everybody,

I’m trying to add a package, but whenever I call Pkg.add or Pkg.status in the REPL I get the following output:

Looks like your system is trying to access github through a proxy. Check your system’s proxy settings.
