# Genie not starting in windows: "localhost refused to connect"

Hi all. I am new to both programming and Julia and I would like to try Genie Framework but, after following the tutorial in [https://github.com/GenieFramework](https://github.com/GenieFramework), although it says that

```julia
Info: Ready!
└ @ Genie.AppServer C:\Users\andre\.juliapro\JuliaPro_v1.0.3.1\packages\Genie\QqqnQ\src\AppServer.jl:44
2019-06-27 16:04:48:DEBUG:Main: Web Server starting at http://127.0.0.1:8000
2019-06-27 16:04:48:DEBUG:Main: Web Server running at http://127.0.0.1:8000

```

the server dos not start at all
