We’ll have 5 short (5-10 min) presentations on Julia-related topics, otherwise it’s supposed to be a fun and informal get-together.

Hi all,
just found this thread because the last days I was motivated to start an official Julia meetup for Munich.
Discourse kindly showed me this thread when I wrote the announcement for the first kickoff session.

@oschulz It would be awesome to join forces! The newly created meetup could be a perfect place to continue your effort. I am quite happy that I found this thread now, seeing that there is already an existing interest in Julia around Munich 🙂

@kschertler @freemint @Markus_M @davidanthoff @ludgerpaehler @michakraus @vilim @ninjaaron @oschulz you are all especially invited to join the kickoff meeting.

with best regards,
Stephan

Just came across this:

> The TUM CSC invites you to Google. In this MeetUp we will Talk about modern trends in programming languages.

@AndreaNeumayr will give a Julia/Modia.jl presentation, maybe some of us can go and increase Julia presence.
