We are excited to let you know that the first Julia user meetup in Greece will soon take place at the [National Technical University of Athens (NTUA)](https://ntua.gr/en/)! We’ll have talks on various things Julia, followed by a hacking/brainstorming session. There will be plenty of coffee and lunch (for free). For more information about the event, please go over to the meetup page: [JuliaLang Athens Meetup](https://www.meetup.com/julialang-athens/events/302685031/). More such meetups will follow. If you’re interested in attending, giving a presentation, or doing some volunteer work to help us out, don’t hesitate to drop a line at [julia.lang.athens@gmail.com](mailto:julia.lang.athens@gmail.com)! ---

There have been three spam comments in the last two days on this thread, gonna try closing it to see whether it makes a difference (maybe the title is a bot magnet 🤷). ---
